Review:
Jim Garringer stands out for multiple reasons. The big part that hits me from looking at his work is the composition on the day-to-day shots. He has an eye that captures the true beauty of the world around him without making anything looked ‘staged’ like many photographers do.
As I went through Jim Garringer’s pictures I realized the power of a photo and the simplicity and yet complexity. What I mean by that is this: you can quickly glance at it and enjoy the photography and/or you can look deeply at it and see the complexity/story that goes along with his work.
He is truly a professional artist who has talent beyond the norm. He is the main photographer at Taylor University and in fact, that is how I met him. I think he does this line of work because of his love for story telling through photography. It is made clear in his work but also in his consistency in always having his camera, it seems. As you can see, his photography is simply amazing to look at. My favorite has to be the lighthouse. He is a light to the photography world, lame statement but a true one I believe.
And, on that note the companies that are out there that should hire him are those who want a great composition on a photo shoot. That is what stands out and I think that if there is a company out there that is looking, they should jump on and hire him for the talent that he can bring to the table. Jim Garringer has an eye for a great photo.

Thanks! I’ve been a photographer for a number of years in in Muncie, Central Indiana area. As well as Taylor University. That’s where I’m getting most of my business. I’ve done several hundred weddings and senior portraits through the years … had a great time doing that.
Thats always a good thing to hear because that is slowly where I am heading with friends weddings and going from there. Do you have a personal website?
